Barbie Barker
We welcome Barbie Barker to the Aces Swim Club coaching staff. In January 2009, she, her husband Gregg, and two daughters Lindsay (10) and Riley (7), relocated to Colorado from Birmingham, Michigan, where she was born and raised.
Barbie started swimming and diving competitively at 6 years of age and on through high school. She was a varsity skier and golfer in addition to swimming for Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis year round. During her summers, along with BBA, she swam for the Birmingham Athletic Club and the Oakland Hills Country Club.
After a few years away from the pool to raise her children, she reentered the swimming world to coach BBA, the team she swam with for well over 12 years. This will be her fourth year as a USA swim coach. She is also a member of the American Swim Coaches Association. She is extremely excited to continue coaching and developing amazing kids for many years ahead.
Barbie graduated from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, with concentrations in advertising, sales, and marketing.
